2bseen, it was good to be seen too. You wouldn't happen to have an extra stroker cam laying around would you? This motor needs more cam for sure. Apparently, torque peak is below 3600 rpms, which is crazy. I'd like to see how it responds with another 30-40* total duration.

yeah, that low end tq is nuts. another 30-60hp from a proper cam isn't hard too imiagen.

Well, the torque curve looks good from what can be seen. I bet a healthier cam would wake that hp curve up quite a bit.

I think there are a couple of other factors causing the low HP number, but the curve in general is just shifted way lower in the rpms than I'd expected it to be. It does look like its running out of air on the top end. Move that whole torque curve up 800 rpms or so and see what happens.

You need to have them lock the truck in 2nd gear or 3rd so it doesn't downshift on the dyno, then get dyno numbers from off idle to 6000 rpms. I'm really curious as to where the torque peak is. You are right, it does look like a diesel.

Thats what I figured 2bseen. I bet this motor needs a cam like the one you are moving to.

It was nice to meet you also.

Don't worry I'll be getting pics tomorrow when I go to talk to them about my truck and see if we can find some more power.

Actually, your numbers are VERY similair to what my old 422 iron block put down. The difference from yours to mine is that I still had the stock intake, Dynatech y-pipe, 2.5" exhaust, 4.10 gears, bigger cam, and I'm a 4x4 with 33" off road tires on the dyno. If you guys are serious about a big cam, I have 2 sitting here right now. The specs are 244/244 612/612 112 and the other is 252/258 612/613 112. Let me know if you want to give one of these a shot.
