Nice numbers! I wonder what the factors are causing you to make more HP but less torque than me. We have very similar setups, and run pretty much equal track times it seems. My numbers were 404/502 The dyno guy told me the HP was low due to an airflow restriction-he thought it was the Whipple, but I am not convinced of that. Are you using that alcohol injection?

Black blown02-No Nitrous here, just an all stock internals LQ4 6.0L,you can see my mod list on my web page

L-EATER-I'm not sure what the differnce could be in our setups that's making our numbers come out so different from each other. Arent you using LS1 ported heads? That may be the difference.
I did not use the Alky injection, didnt need to,got no detonation or knock retard from it.I'm sure we could have turned it on squeezed more out of it, but I dont want to rely on the alky kit if I dont have to.

Curt-Let me know what all parts you have,if I cant come up with the money for a build I may have to patch this one up for the tmie being.
Thanks

Nice job Randy... did you get any pre-tuning numbers? Just curious on how much Allen squeezed out of it.

Kenny-my base run was 426hp and 453tq. I was real happy,I was shooting to be leaving with 410-420 hp,so i'm real pleased. I cant help but think what it might have done with some longtubes and 3 inch duals instead of the shorties with 2.5 duals.

Curt-I know I need the pistons.Gonna need some advice here,I'm no motor man. Can the pistons be replaced without pulling the engine.I dont want to pull it unless I have to.Would be nice to just drop the pan and pull the heads.Would it need to be honed and could that be done in the truck?? Let me know what you think.I dont think i'm going to drive it for now.Dont want to risk tearing anything up.It made the trip back from Louisiana fine though.

You are going to have to pull the motor. Replace the main and rod bearings when you do the pistons.
