Default Dyno tune on a stock 5.3?

I've read into the mail order tunes, handhelds, etc...

There's a place quite close actually that has a dyno and LS1edit. How worth it would it be? Would it be more worth it if i got LT's first? Or is a wait4me or westers a better bang for the buck?

BTW the place i'm talking about does custom, full tunes at $400.

I would get the LT cause its going to need to be retuned when you get them on. I put some header on and a intake and it run like crap. But do the custom dyno tune way better.

Hey CrabHart!!
Do all your bolt ons first-and get that baby on the dyno for tuning. I made way better power on the dyno tune than the mail order tune, and my truck is soo much more fun to drive.

If you can get a full dyno tune for only $400.00 then go with that. That is less than what you will spend with a westers mail order and a Nelson mail order tune. My wait4me was only 158.05 but if I was getting Lt's I would probably get a dyno tune done. However, I couldn't be more happy with my tune at this point. Good luck

nice gain! what did you dyno? How different was the powerband compared to stock if you remember?

Hey Trevor! I really want to know your experience since you've tried pretty much every tuning option. I'm definitely looking for fun to drive, since i'll never have enough money to make it fast.
