Default The dyno ****** report on ASP dyno results!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on lately checking things out but had to share the results with the truck. Only thing that changed since the last pull was 4.10's and now we are dynoing the truck in 3rd instead of 2nd gear. The truck felt alot stronger after towing the formula for 6 hours and though it was just my imagination. Well guess not since the baseline pulls were

273rwhp/304.7rwhq

We decided it was tim to throw on the ASP pulley tha's been sitting here and dynoed it again. Right away it did 285rwhp/312rwtq!!!

I can definitely feel a whole bunch more throttle response with it too. I can't imagine how much different the truck would feel before and after had I done the electric fans and ASP at the same time!

Oh also did a run without the accessory belt and it gets 292rwhp and 313rwtq. Used to have a 20rwhp gain when we pulled it off when the truck had the stock belt driven fan and crank pulley.

Saweet! I am doing the ASP and electric fan install this week. Got all the parts in over the weekend. So you got 12 rwhp with just the pulley install? What about after the fans? Did you gain any there?

If I remember right the fans helped 6-8rwhp. You'll notice a nice gain in throttle response after doing both.

Glad you are back for more dyno results. Here are some ideas that have been perplexing me...

1. Airaid TB Spacer
2. Ported TB
3. Highflow MAF

These are debated and I have seen no real conclusive evidence on any of them. The only one I would do for sure would be a ported TB and maybe a highflow MAF, but I would like to know the actual power gains from these (if any).

Two of the three can be ordered from Summit or Jegs so if they suck...send them back. lol.

I agree. I would also like to see these items put to the test.

Hey Mark

12hp 8tq from a pulley is

Let me ask you a question about A/F ratio. I just got my in truck wideband hooked up and tested it out. At WOT my A/F ratio starts at ~11.2:1 low in the rpm range and gradually gets to ~10.4:1 before the shift. I know this is to rich but, how much power do you think I'm leaving on the table being that rich. What A/F ratio should I shoot for right now??

Thanks

John

I read in some other thread the ported tb is good for 4-5rwd HP.

I have tried the ported TB and only gained 2rwhp after 4500rpm if I remember right.

My AF ratio runs at 12.2 through the cats and I'm sure could be leaner. I would shoot for 12.5/1 with a blower and 13.0 on motor.
