Default Dynoed the truck

yea we dynoed the truck for some base line numbers.
01 scsb 5.3 Mods:hpp3, 3 chamber flowmaster,UPD,on 20s.

put down 247.9rwhp 284.8rwtq

i was expecting less and im guessing those 20s arent helping us out too much either. happy with the numbers ill try to scan the sheet and post it not sure how to post pics just thought id fill you guys in on the #s, any comments i think theyre good numbers for the mods typical #s at least i think fast 4.8 dynoed the same hp a while back not sure on his mods though. these were just baseline #s tho

The 20's on my truck actually improved my 1/4 mile times. I couldn't get my wheels to stick when I had 17's. I have the Goodyear Eagle GT II's on it, and they seem to work o.k. Plus the added benefit of being dirt cheap, so they don't cost you an arm & a leg when you burn 'em down at a burn out contest

our 275/45/r20 gtII dont grip worth crap i imagine more then the stocks but they still arent giving us any traction, when they were brand new they were okay, but after some good miles now they just spin easy but theyre still the only 20 inch tire id get because of price!

That was a good deal on the ATI. I'm glad someone on this board got it. Since you will have to do some weding to get the ASM headers on, see if you can rearrange the Y pipe and put a set of cutouts before the cats. I'm gonna bet that with the headers and cutouts, that ATI will be killer. I think you will like the Yank too.

Some Advice with the ATI ..Get bigger injectors before you start beating on it
Save your self the headaches and costs of blowing somegthing up
I would Run at least the 8.1 L injectors for it
Still might not be enough fuel for it.
Buy a tranny cooler if you don't have one yet .
Get the largest one you can find.
Ls1 edit is a must In my opinion i got lot out of it with my truck with the intercooler on the ATI you can advance the timing at least 4 degree's over stock
If you have any questions feel free to ask
Your gonna love the kit more so with a 3000k Stall

The tranny cooler is really cheap insurance
I would try Lingenfelter they sometimes have 8.1L injectors for sale or maybe Valvegod might have some
they should be pretty cheap $250 or so
I haven't been able to get to the dyno done
But i hope to see the 400 rwhp range with the mods i have have
Take your time
It will be well worth the wait
you can Do the install It's not that hard
