I have factory Y-Pipe, Cats, and Manifolds. I just ran 3 inch pipe from the Y-Pipe through a Hooker and out the factory tailpipe location. As far as sound goes everyone says it sound great. No drone at cruising speeds. I'm planning on Pacesetter Long Tubes and Pacesetter Y-Pipe in the near future.

I friend of mine has a 94 Model Pickup with a 383 and ProCharger. He doesn't keep a spare tire in the truck and put his bullet mufflers where the spare tire would hang under the bed of the truck. It is quiet and you would never know this truck runs 11.70 @ 120mph in the 1/4. It is on 17 inch wheels and radials. You can hear the whistle from the ProCharger over the exhaust.

Ok cool, well i guess about the only thing i can do is try it and find out. Its hard to compare what yours sounds like compared to what mine sounds like because you still have your stock y-pipes with cats. I think it wil sound good. I just hope it gets rid of some of the drone because im getting tired of hearing it everywhere i go. I am jealous of your buddy with the supercharger! I wish i had a blower that was louder than the exhaust! lol. I wouldnt mind that.

I was told that on a mostly stock truck, it is best to go with 2.5" pipe when your doing true duals.. I have seen some people here go with 3". I heard that would take away from the power if the truck is mostly stock. Is this true? Maybe i should get mine done with 3" if thats what all you guys are running...

I'm only running a single 3 inch pipe from the Y-Pipe on. I think dual 3 inch on a stock 5.3 would be to big.

Oh ok. I see now. Yea, i think the stock y(where the cats are) before it turns into the 2.75" single pipe is 2.5". I forgot you were running a single 3" also. Thanks for the help man!
