E-Fan/Over Heating Issue?

E-Fan/Over Heating Issue?
I just got done installing 05 e-fans on my wifes 04 Yukon Denali. It's about 85ish here in Chicago today. TOOk the truck out for about 30 minutes and thought i wasn't going to make it home before it was almost in the red on the temp gauge? I have a harness made from Caspers Electronics, it only has two relays? I was really looking forward to doing this, the install was perfect. Now i'm scared to run them so i pit back the clutch fan. You could really tell a difference with the e-fans in as far a performance. I want to run these fans but i don't need to be worried 24/7 driving the truck! Any thoughts whats going on here? Am i missing something stupid? I hope it just a relay issue?

I will also add that my ac was very poor and the fans were very loud. When i did a search it seems that the fan's are not that loud? Again these or brand new o.e.m. gm fans! The harness that i got from Caspers was built for a trailblazer ss e-fan conversion. Don't know if this is the whole issue or not? I heard that the Nelson Harness wasn't that good for the 6.0? Hoping this will pan out and i can get this fixed?

seee if the fans are running backwards, you may have the postitve and negative on backwards, make sure they are pulling through the radiator and not pushing air into it., if you have a grill on the truck it should be nice and cool when they are on.

I am woking on this today on my 04' Denali. Haven't ran the truck yet, but my Nelson harness has 3 relays on it...I'll know within a few hours if there are cooling issues...Also did a 160* thermostat while I was at it..

its been 100* here and ive never had a issue with the stock Tstat or the rigged 170* Tstat..
Ill be willing to be the Polarity is backwards like he said..
I had a 3 bank relay setup to the A/C clutch switch.. Got tired of the fan kicking on and off so i ran that wire to a switch in the cab..
PCM tells the fans to come on low at 173 and off at 172
I can flip the switch and one fan comes on high, and then flip the other switch and both come on high..

Just finished mine. Very quiet, set them with EFI live to come on at 195 and off at 185. Working like a charm. Bet yours are running backwards...
