How's the install go and do they keep as cool as the stock clutch fan?

I did the fbody ls1/lt1 fans, and I'm getting 2-3 more mpg on road trips. I made my own harness for under $30 bucks. I do not have my PCM "tuned" for the fans. They both come on low under normal operation, and both on High when the a/c is on. I have two manual switches on the dash for the longer trips. If I'm doing 65+ I manually turn off the low setting, and then they'll only come on at high for the a/c.

They work great, search my name, and you'll find the pin out for the harness that I used.
