I am looking to get an Eaton E-locker and a set of 4:10 gears for my truck pretty soon since I can get them installed for free. I have a 99 sierra 5.3 with opened diff and 3:73's.

I want to know what rear end I have in my truck so I know what the part numbers are so I can order the right Locker and ring and pinion. Do i need to get an install kit with it, or will all the parts come with the two?... And where is the best/most affordable place to get these parts.

 

You have 8.5/8.6 30 spline 10 bolt.

There is a guy on ebay called 589 gear. Chingon bought from him, I think its like 600 shipped for the eaton, gears and master rebuild kit, not a bad deal at all.

I think seperatly you will look to spend about 400 on eaton, 150 for gears and 100 for rebuild kit


BTW- Your truck looks SICK! I only hope oneday mine will look as nice as that beauity

I know that the eaton posi unit is cheaper than the e-locker..... would there be any advantages of having just the posi unit over an E-locker???... or should I just shut up and get the E-locker?
