Default E3 Spark Plugs

I have an 04 1500 Silverado 4x4 w/ 95,000 miles still on stock spark plugs. Theyre startin to show their age and I figured if i was going to buy new spark plugs id buy a good set. are the E3 spark plugs a good set to buy or is their a better set to run on these trucks? will these help alot with power, currently only performance mods im running is k&n cold air and edge evolution programmer, will these sparkplugs make a very noticeable difference?

thanks.

No they won't help at all. Either buy you another set of OEM ac delco and forget about them for another 100k miles or get some NGK tr55.

theyre garbage...buy another factory set or some NGK iridium tr55's

and on a side note, ditch the edge 'programmer' for a real tune if you want some noticeable power gains...just my .02

If your looking for an increase in power, sell that edge and get yourself a custom tune. Better shifts, better power, better mpg. Stock AC delcos work great for the plugs.

E3 spark plugs are great....for causing misfires. As mentioned, go for some factory replacement AC Delcos or NGK's, aside from those options, I'd run away

If your just needing a quality replacement plug for a basically stock set-up and don’t feel like springing for either the AC Delco or NGK in an Iridium, though I can’t imagine why, unless it’s for a cost savings and you just like to inspect your plugs a little more regular, I would recommend the NGK V-Power TR5 plugs over the TR55’s. The TR5’s come at a recommended .040” gap, instead of the .050” gap of the TR55’s. Of course if you do want to stay with an Iridium plug, the Iridium IX TR5IX is a good plug and also comes with a .040” gap, while the TR55IX is comes with an advertised .050” gap. I don’t know how much additional timing you’re running with your Edge programmer and I highly doubt in your case it’s enough to worry about, but in some cases when adding 10 degrees or more of timing it can become necessary to go to a colder range plug.
