Here ya go..

http://www.woracing.com/truck/G80/

THe first 2 are the original .. the others are new. If those 2 little bars weren't in the way ... there wouldn't be a problem I don't think. I could get the spider gears out and then the little metal block in between them. If it weren't for that block ... I wouldn't have a problem I don't think.

All you should have to do it pull out the center pin to push in the axles. Once they go in far enought the clips will just about fall off by themselves. If there are other internals in the way of the axles going in, try rotating the carrier/axles while pushing in on them.

I got it out! I was playing with one of the axles and the clip on the other axle FELL out. I was so damn excited. Once I saw how that one went in, the other came out without a problem.

Now I have to figure out how in the hell I'm going to get the pinion off without anything on the backside of it.

OK .. I can't get the pinion out. Does it just pop out? It's getting dark again so I can't see much anymore. Is there another clip or something I'm missing? I got the bolt off and the yoke off with a 2 prong puller.

Thanks guys for all the help ... This is making me feel like a real dumb ***. I think after just getting this far into it I would damn sure have it done next time. Let's hope like hell there won't be a next time though.

The guy that does the gears in my truck uses an air hammer gun with an attachment that fits in the dimple end of the pinion gear and knocks it out. Maybe you could make something to fit the dimple and use a big hammer. Curt

Anyone else ... I went and got an air hammer. It didn't budge. I dunno if maybe it wasn't a big enough hammer or what, but it didn't budge. WTF is holding it in there so well?
