It may be the pic, as I am no photographer, just a grease monkey with a camera, LOL. That exhaust wrap stuff is pretty thick, plus I wanted to make sure it was OK until I do a permanent fix, so it looks a bit tighter than it actually is. The rear pipe does indeed also hits a plug wire, just not a bad as the 2nd from the rear does. You can see in hirdlej's pic, he has a bracket on that wire as well. That's a great idea of his, and I'll be using some sort of bracket myself.

1-5/8" is the inside diameter of the primary tubes. That was consistent on every one that I checked.

 

Good, sounds like it isnt too big of an issue then. I was reading up on primary sizes per hp and everything I read said the primary size is determined by the outside diameter so maybe these really are 1 3/4".

 

Just so you know, that's my picture and brackets that I made. Those are Dynatech headers (with the hump)

BTW - are your headers chromed?

 

They sure look like they're chrome, but who knows, they aren't advertised as such? I got them solely because they fit the budget and seemed decent.

Hmmm. Never heard that before.

FWIW, I had no problem whatsoever making over 500rwhp in one of my old cars with "little" 1-5/8" longtube headers and a 2.5" exhaust, so I'm positive these will handle anything I could possibly throw at them.

Mustang looks like its launching hard. Ill be running a lq9, radix112 and 212-218 low lift. I thing these headers will do well because ill be towing alot, looking for more low and mid range than high. Hoping to run high 12s if I ever ran it. I went ahead and ordered from the same place as rel3rd, they're all the same price after shipping.
