ECT how hot is TOOOO hot????
Well my truck has been running alot hotter in the 100*+ temps... But it is wierd... It will sit and idle all day long with the AC on high and run at 200* basically where the fans regulate it. While driving down the highway it runs at 197* which is also fine. Now if i am in stop and go traffic it will get to 215-220. Today on the way home I was beating on it to see how hot it would get, well when i pulled into my drive it was 224*.... So i left it running in park in my driveway and the temps came back down to 200*....
So i tried pulling some timing, basically adding more the ECT and IAT tables, that helped a little bit but it still gets hot in slow driving... I have a 28" rad with homemade efans (12 and 14) with a shroud... So i am just thinking about ordering some 05 efans and 34 radiator...
Any opinions?

Same thing happens in my truck. I can sit in a 100* parking lot for 1 solid hour idling with A/C on high and temperature not climb over 190 but stop and go it will climb to 205-210

You have a stock thermostat? I had a 160 and a 180 and during the summer my truck would try to overheat on me all the time (with 34" radiator, and with both factory e-fans and a factory clutch fan). As soon as I went back to stock it's all fixed. I think the coolant was not spending enough time in the radiator to cool down properly.
