Default Edelbrock Headers

I have an 05 Silverado SS with AEM intake and dual Flowmaster 40's. Will adding Edelbrock headers help any or is it a waste of money? Thanks.

shorties are a waste of money. buy longtubes and be done with it. you have 6 years from the time your vehicle was sold in california before even having to worry about smog.

Is it 6 years? I thought it was 5...either way yeah, the shorty's are not as effective as long tubes by any measure but if you fear the Smog ****'s then short or preferably, mid length headers are your only option here in CA.

i was actuallythinking about going with the dynomaxx with cats so if the cops wanna look, there they are! then just swap the system out to get smogged.

its 5 years after you buy a new vehicle, and every two after that.

Have you guys thought about gasket matching your manifolds?
I know when I put my dynatechs on how bad the manifolds matched up to my heads. I was just thinking opening them up a little with a diegrinder would help some.
