are you locking your converter in third or just overdrive.i have mine set up not to lock until i get into fourth gear and at 57mph. but i have read that some are still locking there converter up in third gear. if so what mph are they locking at.

I would lock it if you aren't getting into it, or above 80-90 depending on gears and how your truck pulls.

Basically the converter should be locked if it isn't under decent acceleration, so that when your cruising around in 3rd, it will lock when it's just cruising to prevent it from building up to much heat.

cool so you can program it to lock up under normal acceleration and not lock up under wot???

I have mine set to where it wont lock up till 42mph in od with light throttle. It progressively gets higher than that with throttle position. You can scale TCC lockup in third and fourth for what mph you want it to lock at depending on tps.
