Default Edlebrock Headers?

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy headers soon. I was talkin to a friend who is a mechanic. He said Edlebrock headers were the best choice. All he does is make cars/trucks faster so I trust his word. But I am curious as to what you all think would be best. ?

Either, Dynatech, AS&Ms, The Other Guys, Bassani, Thorleys, or LaPoles.

I really don't think your mechanic friend know what is out there for these trucks. I would not go throught the trouble of installing shorties heders on my truck. I would go with mid/long tube headers mentioned above. If I remember correctly some in here got about 5 rwhp with some shorty headers.

If you are lookin' to get gains i'd stay away from the Edelbrock's. That's what i have and i wouldn't buy them again. While they are better than stock, it's just barely. If i do it again, i'm deffinately getting long tubes!

My Edlebrocks will be here today. Im not all into the fitting, chopping and extara money. I went with what looked good , not expecting alot of gain but any is worth it. And the price is what I liked most.

Are you talking about the shorties, or the Edelbrock TES system, the TES is more like mid but is is not exactly like a mid. The nice thing about them is that all you do is cut 2 inches above the cats slip the header and pipe on and weld. I dont have them, but is what I will have becasue they are only 439.99
