Ditto on the relay, I think you would fry something unless you ran 10ga. wire without one.

Kevin, I may take ya up on that. Well, it blew out my A/C cycling switch when the fan motors burnt out, and was causing a very annoying high idle issue with the fans and a/c on in conjunction. It was all easily fixed under warranty thankfully by the dealership, but I am still having an issue with the a/c on that the idle seems like it doesn't want to kick down or slow down when I am at low speeds from about 2k rpm and below. Still have no idea what that is. Basically, I was having a ton of issues with the efans, engine idle, and a/c with the fans wired to the a/c system. They all seemed to go away with the removal of the fans from the a/c clutch. Just had to get that cycling switch replaced to actually get cold air blowing again.

And I'm not too worried about both fans running full speed all the time. Hell, with my exhaust cutouts open you can't here them anyways. You can't even hear my clutch driven fan.

the more I think about it I think I'll wire mine so the ECM turns them on. and I will have a switch that control low and high speed. That way I don't have to remeber to turn them on.

They fried your A/C because of the short when the motors fried. Its FAL's fault cause of their controler, or whatever caused the fans to burn up. I have mine wired up to the a/c switch, then going thru a relay, so hopefully the relay would burn up before the A/C. It should at least.
