05 GM fans, 34" radiator , and a nelson harness. I live in SE ga , it gets HOT. I have never switched on my high switch. These things are great. Do it right or don't do it at all. ***** a howling @$$ power and gas mpg robbing 60 year old designed cluth fan !!! My 2 cents

Slowec's suggestion is a good one but I don't think the bigger radiator is optional...if you go with the '05 fans, I think the 34" radiator is required. Good luck!

You are correct sir, the 05 efans require the 34" rad

For those of you seeing no performance gains you got problems somewhere. I know of 3 different people including myself that gained .30 in the 1/4 just changing the Efans. I also gained 1.5 mpg I have the 05 Efans with a custom "white1" harness.

I have had them about a year and a half and only trouble I had was I blew a fuse from surge because of where I hooked the wire (Happened 2 days after the install) since then I have had 0 problems. I have it hooked into the PCM and the AC.

Since YOU have made the decision to run your fans all the time then yes but there is no reason to have them on above 40 mph. I had a controller on mine and the only time they ever were on a lot was on a few 100*+ Texas summer days. It's a good mod, def get some MPG out of it.

You wouldn't probably notice it on a 700hp truck...

i love the electric. the howl from the clutch fan when it is warm sucks. no problems with running warm even with the 1000+rwhp 408 towing 4000lbs but someone trying to tow 10,000 lbs might have problems.

when i first got my rcsb 03 my first mods were efans and colder tstat. i took the truck to the track stock and ran a 16.6 na and a 13.9 with a 100shot. a week later i went back with efans and tstat and ran a 16.2 na and 13.4 with a 100shot.

Here's my schtick about e-fans.

Sitting the staging lanes in 95* weather (yes, at night for chrissake), engine off for 20 minutes brought my temps down 3*... Sitting the staging lanes idling the truck with both e-fans on full blast fo 5 minutes, temps came down 20*.

Just get a good harness (I bought GM fans from an 05 and a nelson harness). Never had a single problem with the GM fans. I did have trouble with flexalites -- both the harness and the fans (they didn't flow enough to keep me cool in the summer here or somethign, but the GMs do fine).
