Question Electric Fan Install

I am installing LS1 fans next Monday... trying to get all my parts and info together now. Do I have to have the VSC control module from Flex-a-lite in order to run the fans? Is there anyway I can just hook it up to a switch in the cab so I can turn them on or off? I really dont want to spend an extra 100 bucks on the module, I hope there is something out there cheaper and easier to do!
Thanks guys,
-Kurt

yep you can go with a hayden temp relay and stat set up. usually you can get them from the auto parts for around 40.00 bucks.

02 Denali... do you still have your Hayden temp relay? And is it possible to just use a simple switch to give it power or is some sort of module needed?
Thanks!

are you saying you just want a switch to turn the fans on and off. i have mine wired to were they come on when the truck is on, then flip the switch and they are off, then flip it again and they are on with the truck off.

This won't help you much with the wiring, but hopefully will with all the other crap.
