In the future you're going to see the serpentine belt go away. Everything will be electric motor driven. WP, PS and A/C comperssor will already be electric motor driven, not just the water pump. You're already seeing electric assist steering. I've have seen Lexus go backwards by doing away with their electric fans and pipe hydraulic fluid from the power steering pump to the radiator cooling fans to spin them. Crazy! This all means you'll only have one short belt to spin the alternator and if they can figure out a way to mount the alternator on the end of the crankshaft where the pulley that spins the serpentine belt is currently located you won't even need that one.

There are remote mounted water pumps that mount on the radiators as well. That's what direction I'm going here this summer with my motor build. That and a belt driven vacuum pump.

Anyone here know if the meziere 300 works with a Katech truck belt tensioner?
Also, if I were to be in the market for a ATI damper, should I still get one for truck engine or vette or f body or what?
Got an LSXR intake for free so I'll be trying to mount that...

Alright, to answer my own question above, the Katech or any other "truck" tensioner will not work. Need one for a car to bolt on to the EWP.

But, now I'm wondering, is there anything else needed for the Meziere 55gpm EWP to hook it up that is not included???
What's up with thermostat???
Also, is there a separate wiring relay harness needed that is not included?
