Emission Friendly Header
Do they make any emission friendly headers for the 5.3 in California? I have seen Gibson and I assume that they are, but I am not sure. Also, will headers like the Gibson ones change the sound of my truck much?

Doug Thorley headers are also CARB compliant and come with it stamped on the headers or with a tag. They have fitings for the O2 sensor and AIR fitings also.
Being TRI-Y headers, these should give you good low end torque, but not as much high end HP as TOG's

It is from what I've been told on here ... TOG's are CARB certified or whatever it is. They have a CARB sticker that comes with them.
Me .. personally, I wouldn't deem them certified if they weren't coated. Long tubes move the o2 sensor to far back to not be coated. An uncoated header will not heat the o2 up as much as it needs to be which makes it give flase readings. The end result is you run pig rich.
