engine light
Lately ive been having problems with having engine misfire when I shift It into 3rd gear and leave it in 3rd gear for a while the engine light will start flashing and then when i go to overdive again it stops again i was just wondering if anybody knew what The deal was with that because it never comes on unless i shift into 3rd. All replys are apreciated thanks.

Can you feel a missfire when you are in 3rd or does the light just flash? I've got the same thing except I don't have a physical missfire. I've posted about it on here and got some sugestions but kind of put the issue on the back burner since it wasn't affecting drivability.

If you don't have an actual misfire, you may have a false misfire from either the characteristics of the cam or the lighter torque converter that's bolted to the flexplate...not sure if either of those would create a problem in third gear only, but it's something to consider

Yeah I've got the same problem then. It will only happen in a 500 rpm window between 2500 and 3000 with a light load on (I can pull my trailer in that range and it will stay quiet). I'm logging missfires on #1 and #6 but I have moved around plugs, wires, coils, and injectors and it always stays on those cylinders. It was suggested that I change the crank and cam sensors but I haven't given that a try yet. BTW I'm cammed as well. There is one other person on fsc who is also having this problem but I think he kind of gave up on it too.
