Engine plans for my truck
Well, after looking at a VHO and coming close to buying it and having my truck up for sale, I realized that I would have to come up with alot of $ to afford it. So now I've come back to what I had originally planned for my truck. RIght now I have 99,600 on my 5.3. I want to find a LQ4 or LQ9 used but low mileage with the 80e trans to back it. I'm planning on keeping the engine stock besides your basic bolt ons but with the tranny, I plan on doing a shift kit and vette servos since itll be out anyways. Now, my question is when and IF I find the right deal or buy and LQ4 or 9, who can I count on to install it around South Florida and how much is it going to cost me? I know many guys have done it at their house or shop but I cant do that. Is there any tips/ precautions that I need to be aware of while doing it or after?? Any problems associated with the swap? After I get all this answered, I am going to try to find an LQ9 or LQ4 and where is it I should search for these besides the for sale section? If anyone has any other suggestions that you think I should do while the engine is out, please let me know. Thanks, Justin

There's alot of info if you search.
why not just go for an lq4/9 longblock only and just keep your 60 swap since your going to be mostly stock? it'll be cheaper. Im also looking for an lq4/9 and haven't found one. Try car-part.com, hiwayauto.com, check ebay, and the for sale here or on ls1tech.
