Default engine swap but what engine? and how much work?

I have a 02 lifted Silverado with a 4.8l and I want to swap the motor out for something that will get me some sick *** hp but I don’t want to have to spend a lot to have it installed. I know some small block gen III and IV are relatively interchangeable but what is the best way to go? What will it take to do something like this? I have the cash now and I know gas prices suck but I just can’t wait for the new Camaro. Can someone point me in the right direction!

6.0 lq4 or lq9 cheapest and straight forward swap but dont forget about you trans and rear end cause they are not gonna last to long.

Honestly not trying to be rude, but did you do a search for swap. probably 70% of the threads that come up will answer your questions to a point.
Gather up some intel and come back with more detail.

It will cost the same to install any of the gen III engines, afaik swapping between the gen III and gen IV is a little more work. Just find a 6.0L and plug it in BUT like already mentioned your drive line will need upgrading. Best bet is find a 6.0/4L80e combo and drop the whole unit in.
