So we started my engine swap yesterday and got stuck. We are all learning how to do this little by little, but I have a few questions.
Will it be easier to pull the engine and trans or just the engine?
And to separate the trans from the engine, we remove the bolts that are on the pressure plate and are threaded towards the motor correct?
And any and all tips and hints will be helpful. As we don't know what we're doing. Thanks guys.

There is not an actual online manual that I know off.
This thread has some pictures of the removal. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-guide-378643/
This one may have some tips. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...howtos-363112/
Other wise find something like a Haynes manual at the auto parts store. They usually have a step by step how to in them.

the engine will come out with the clutch still attached to the fly wheel, no need the un bolt the pressure plate. just the motor mounts and bellhousing bolts and miscellaneous little stuff. if you're re using the transmission then block it up good so the front of it doesn't drop. if you're going to use a different transmission then i would drop the tranny first and then pull the engine. that's just personal preference though. also keep track of everything and come up with some way to remember where everything goes...whatever works for you. i like putting bolts back where they came from and labeling wires etc.
