Question engine swap suggestions

has anyone put a LQ9 in a 90s model silverado? i have a 97 k1500 that i want to put a LQ9 in and wondering if anyone has done it and knows what the overall price was and stuff

I think iamkeniff has put a 5.3 in a 94 full size. He'll probably chime in sometime today

I just did it to my 93, had a shop do it for me tho. cost me 2k in labor. But they swapped in a 4l80 an fabbed my t-case, an cut my driveshaft to work with the tranny.

I am in the process of swapping an LQ4 into my 92 C1500. I will probably have about $3000 in the swap when it's all said and done but I am being thorough taking care of all the small details. It can easily be done for $2000 if you find a good deal on the engine. Most of the info you need to do it can be found HERE

i dont really have a budget with it but the more i want to spend the longer it would take, but these 5.7 vortecs just dont have to many options to go with

i swapped a 2008 5.3 and 2006 4L60e into my 94 chevy. there is a build thread in the "projects" section. its pretty easy.

thanks man. when i started my swap no one has done a gen IV swap into an obs so it was a learn as i went and document it as i go to help someone else out. ive yet to go back to the track with it since i fixed my WOT issue. i will share a story though. last night on my way to work i shut down a 07-10 ecsb chevy from a 55 punch and he already had the head start at wot i wanna slap a se of 4:10s in it but im lazy and have move onto my CC now lol

well my biggest concerns is like motor mount adapter, transmission crossmembers, headers, and stuff like that, where did everyone go to get those?

alright guys ive been doing my research and lq9s arent the easiest motors to find and defidently are a little on the expensive side, so i was looking into it and does anyone know anyone whose put an ls1 in a 96-99 silverado k1500?
