its seized together. you need to smack it with a rubber mallet along the edges. you will alos need a good pry bar to help aid in this. but you should of pulled the entire motor/trans/harness together. it would of been faster and easier....this is from experience

Make sure you have all the bolts out. If you miss one and it seperates, you will be looking for a new ballhousing. That's experience as well.
I wouldn't use a pry bar unless you had to. Put the jack under the tail of the trans and raise it up. The let it drop and hang on the motor mounts. Doing that a couple of times should work it loose.
Double check all the bolts just in case. Make sure you get the one at the very top. It's easy to miss.

Yeah make sure the trans is supported. I just kinda hammered a screwdriver in between to break them loose. The dowels are 3 and 9 o clock. Obviously this isn't the greatest idea because I could crack the housing, but it's worked several times now.
