Default ET gains from open to posi or locker?

I did a search on the topic, but came up with nothing useful. I am thinking hard about going ahead and buying an Eaton before I go to basic training..... but I want to make sure that the 400 bucks it will cost(which is a good chunk of my money) will be worth it right now?

Anyone ever go from using a stall on an open diffy to a posi or locker?
What kind of gains?

Just curious if everyone could post their gains.

I do 0-60 in 7.4 right now because I have to baby all the way through first gear and still spin into second. If I thought I could cut it down to 6 seconds I'ld probably order one.

It just depends on how much traction you will gain. I don't have any track times to give you an estimate because I put on more parts when I did the locker, but I would say that if you have to baby it off the line to keep traction then you will get a much better time due to increased traction and decreased babying. Just my .02, I'm sure with a stall it will make a lot of difference.

With that stall you have you will need more than a posi carrier to hook.

Hey, it can't hurt though, can it?
I guess I'll need some drag radials too, huh?

You only shaved .25 with a stall and eaton?

Did you get that Eaton new? From an ebay company?
What bolt, spline, etc, do I need to know when I am looking for this diffy?

Shaving .25 off your 60' should be close to .5 off your quartermile time!

I have heard every .1 you shave off your 60', you gain .2 up top. I didnt start putting down some good numbers untill I got the posi on. I went from a 2.49 w/ 3.42 open to a 2.27 with 3.73 g80. With a 2.49 I ran 15.40 and with a 2.27 I ran a 14.99.

i had my yank 3000 before my Eaton. it sucked. i had to launch in 4WD alot.

after the posi install, i was able get alot better traction. it made the stall more enjoyable. i highly recommend having posi if a TC is in the tranny.

posi and stall are probably the 2 best mods i have done.
