Default ET slicks, ET Streets, or Drag Radials???

I need to get some kind of traction and hopefully I could get it with some form of slicks. I usually just change my tires from the 22's to my stocks. However, I'm getting really inconsistent times because of my traction. Ranging from 2.0-2.35 in the 60'. I need to get some slicks or something. I was thinking about buying some 15 inch rims because there is a larger tire selection available and could also get an overall diameter closer to 30 inches. Should i go with some ET streets or drag radials? This is no 10 second truck, just want it to run consistent. Thanks for all opinions in advance.

Get the Nitto drag radials 245/50/r16. They will fit on your stock 16" rims and are 15 pound lighter than the stock rubber that was on the truck.

yeah i'm in need of some sort of slicks also, that i can just put on a seperate set of wheels. What tire is best for traction in the 1/4 though really on a truck? do the nitto's hook up comparable to the slicks?

I think the nittos would be way too short. My stocks are around 29.3 inches, I think. Going to a 245/50/16 would be 25.67 inches which would be a lot shorter than my stocks. I want to go with some MT 28 inch ET streets on the stock 16's, just curious to see what other people are using. Don't want to buy tires twicw because I'm not happy.

I am using the 26x10.50x16 ET streets and they work great for me. The gear reduction also helps out with the et's as well. If you are wanting to stay closer to your stock tire height, you may want to go with the 28's.

Does it help going to a smaller tire? I went from 22's to 16's and it seems to be a little quicker off the line. I have AWD and really don't have any traction issues, but would look into a smaller tire if it would help. Any suggestions?

I am running the same thing, but the 27 inch ones. It is two inches shorter than stock and one inch shorter than my 18 inch tire combo.
