exhaust clamp ?
Alright so I got a pair of Pacesetter headers on the way with the Pacesetter ORY. I dont want to use the clamps provided so im looking at getting some band clamps from jegs. So my question is, what clamp do I use?
This-
Or this-
Quick example of the locations im talking about-
After viewing several different pics of where the y pipe meets to the header collector (#1) and where the pipe on the y pipe connects to the rest or the pipe (#2) I need to use the clamp with the step in it?

Your probably gunna wanna use the one in the first pic. Its think its called a stepped band clamp for slip fit connections. Thats what I'm using on the collectors of my longtubes to connect to 2.5" reducers. Mine are the Torctite clamps.

The only flange I like are V band flanges and I dont want to mess with having them taken down and welded. Plus the cost of the V bands are 3 times as much as a band clamp so thats why I wanna go that route

Here is a thread I started when installed my Pacesetter headers and ORY using the same clamps you have. I just got my clamps form NAPA. I used the stepped band clamp on the drivers side and the joint on the ORY. I used the flat band clamp on the passenger side because of where the O2 sensor is located. I just took a pair of tin snips and cut a section out of the band clamp to slide around the O2 sensor. Use some copper RTV in the joints and wrap with aluminum foil then clamp them. I haven't had any leaks. Good luck and take pics.
