I see about 1 tenth gain in the 1/8 mile track with the cutout open but I have the stock muffler.

Your exhaust is already pretty open, I doubt you will get much of any gains from it. It will just be louder depending on where you mount it.

If you already have an exhaust you probably won't see any gains it will just be louder

I had DMH E cutouts and now I have a 3" cat back and no Y with gutted cats and 2 3" SI/SO XR1's and I dont think its any louder, the cutouts will seem louder bcuz they will be under the cab imo. I cant speak to performance tho.

I have a supercharged cammed 5.3 blowing through 1-3/4" long tubes, high flow cats, and a 3" gibson single exhaust. I ran it on the dyno last month and it made the exact same numbers with my exhaust dump open and closed, no difference, just louder.

I was running duals with an slp loudmouth I series(basically straight pipes), and I still ran 2/10ths faster in the 1/4 with the cutout open, most of this was because it lost low end and kept the truck from spinning on the line, but I feel it pulls harder on top end with it open.
