exhaust cutouts
do you actually see any hp gains thats worth spending the money on electric cutouts??? i mean if you pick up even .1 itd seem worth it but has anyone ever tried and dyno pulls or track passes to see if theres actually a noticable difference other than being loud as heck??? just checked summit and they have one for 130 so was debating geting it

I tried to make a dyno pull with mine open but it was so loud that it picked up false knock and dropped timing so it didnt make anymore power. But on the street where it dont echo like on the dyno it dont pull timing, and it feels like it pulls a bit harder open.

It's more fun that way!
I'd imagine it might free up a fraction of 1 if not 1 hp...
For me it seems like with a loss in backpressure (they replaced my cats) I shift a bit later, so it gets closer to the redline.
But I think I read a while back it made no real change in track time when someone ran closed then open..

hmmm, i just had my muffler welded back up today, had to have flange and pipe put in to connect the y pipe from the headers to the muffler, and it def feels like it doesnt pull as hard as it did when the muffler was unhooked, which i do have a flowmaster so it def needs changed out.

welp after much reading ive decided to get a cutout, seems people with LT's that had flowmasters picked up .1-.2/10 and like i said i def feel the difference in how it pulls so itll be worth it. thanks for all the input guys
