exhaust got quiter with longtubes??
I dont get it. My old setup was factory manifolds, cats, all the way back to right behind the cab with a dynomax ultraflo X. it was fairly loud. So i got set of longtubes, threw them on had a muffler shop reuse my cats and muffler. looks like they used smaller pipe than the factory dual setup. looked like from the factory it was 2 3" pipes going all the way to muffler the new setup is smaller with some reused pipe.muffler is like 6 inches further back also. it is DEFINITELY alot quiter and lost alot of its tone.could the smaller pipe attached to the larger pieces attached to the cats have done this? I really dont get it. long tubes=quieter? im about to order the off road y pipe and turn this true dual setup into a a single 3" setup with a borla xr-1

The exhaust I had on mine was factory manifold and y-pipe with a flowmaster cat-back that dualed out the back.
I took that off and put LT's ORY Resonator and Borla Xr-1 running 3" all the way and its about as loud as the other setup. Resonator didn't seem to help a whole lot so I may take it off to see.
The smaller pipe might have been the Difference in yours. But it's hard to say for sure.
