Default Exhaust gurgling... WTF?!?

Well it's been happening for a while now, ever since i installed the JBA shorties. I thought maybe it was the headers breaking in, but they've been on for a while. It only occurs when i take my foot off the gas and coast. It doesn't matter if i'm coasting to a stop or just slowing down, but it's very noticeable. It sounds like its coming from under the truck. It's even more noticeable with the Radix.

any thoughts or ideas as to what is going on?

i am hearing that on my truck after i did my cat back... but the trick is mine only does it when i put my truck into a lower gear (like 3rd or 2nd) to help engine brake when im goin down a steep mountain... i just tihnk the way i threw together my catback and since its so short it causes the pipes to sound funny for a second until the air pressure equalizes since the two pips exiting my dual out muffler arent the same length... but thats just a random theory that makes me feel better...

I had this on my truck and adding an X-pipe to my true dual exhaust took it out.

I dug a little deeper and apparently it could be a sign of running rich. Once i get my wideband in and i'll be able to tell for sure. Plugs look good though. And running rich doesn't make sense in this application beacause why would putting on headers and NOT re-tuning cause me to run rich?

I need that damn wideband. Autometer is backordered until APril!!!

Without a sounds clip, what are we supposed to do?

Does it sound like vroooooooom gurgle-ly gurgle-ly gurgle-ly with maybe a pop or two? Or more like a burble burble ba burble bab burble?

Unless there's a big bang (usually from sucking cold air into an exhaust leak) or an extreme "kackle kackle bang kackle bang" sound from being super lean, there's not much to worry about.

When the computer kicks in DFCO ( fuel cutoff during extended deceleration like going down a hill or just slowing down gradually) most have a tendency to gurgle a bit. Mine does. When DFCO kicks in the AFR goes way lean and the timing is dropped down to next to nothing. DFCO is normal, I dont know if this is what you are refering too, but its a thought anyway.

That seems to make the most sense considering that it happens only when i take my foot off the gas and coast or slow down. So this happens with all of our trucks? and the additon of the headers just made the sound more noticable?

Hmmm... I wonder if the LTs i have coming will cause the same effect

More of the "gurgle-ly gurgle-ly gurgle-ly" without the pop or two.

The gurggles tend to be timed to my RPM drops too.
