For oddballs I had a set of Shuttleworth mufflers on my 92 TBI 350 truck way back when. Even with headers they had a unique sound. Mine were of their bottle variety but it's the only bottle I ever liked, remotely. Too loud for me now but just a deep idle, throaty roar and basically no snap like a glasspack. On a balanced system I doubt they would snap at all..... in fact they did sound good.

Now days I like my Flo Pro's...... I think the one on my 05 is actually quieter than GM's OE muffler was, lol.

And I know the OP is after noise but honestly, this is a Vortec 350 truck. Ditch the stock crappy 1 7/8" head pipes and log manifolds if you want any sort of performance out of thing. Changing the muffler and leaving that junk in place just "makes noise".
