derek I'm also not digging the loud exhaust anymore, I'm going to a long case 3 inch inlet to 2 1/2 inch outlet borla with turn downs. Not to sure how it will sound without cats though... Try'n to keep under the radar

So since you guys are sayin go 3", I wonder if it would be easier/cheaper to get the pacesetter 3" Y, Cut about 10" off each side and put the dummy cats in place. Instead of having the shop Fab it up and connecting it to the magnaflow Y. Unless it wont work with my headers for some reason..

I have a gauge for that

I currently have pacesetters to the y pipe, cats added right before the y would join to a single, a flowmaster dual 3" to single 3" y pipe and 3" pipe throughout. 3" is a good size. I have a dmh 3.5" cutout before the muffler and there was virtually no difference on the dyno between open and closed, which tells me the 3" through the muffler and tailpipe is not restrictive at all.

Her are my "exhaust set ups"
18" case magnaflow dumped after cab
12" long 4" round bassani muffler dumped after cab
22" long 8" round magnaflow muffler dumped aftrer cab
22" long by 12" wide Aero muffler all the way back
22" long by 12" wide Dynomax super turbo muffler all the way back
The "quietest" muffler so far has been the Dynomax, really really mellow and when accelerating just a nice tone to enjoy it without getting annoyed!
Hope this helps!
