Default Exhaust Questions

What size is the stock exhaust system?? Am planning on true duels...magnaflow x pipe and magnaflow mufflers. Anyone have the part number for the muffler I need? Wanting it to be half way quiet but still have the rumble.

Will this X pipe work? It is still Magnaflow 2.5", just a 3" core and 15" length but is $30 cheaper.

Thanks for the help.

my only concern is the way it sinches down in the middle it looks a little constrictive and you might lose flow

it will work dont know how well
seems to me like it will not flow as well as the other
defeating the purpose of true duals
personally I would spend the xtra 30

Thanks guys will use the other one then.

How much low end does a person look to gain using the x pipe to just running straight duels?

You seem to have your fair share of mods....what are you running for exhaust??

How much more performance do true duels give you over a single/duel muffler??

I still run a single exhaust using the stock piping and Magnaflow muffler. The turbo I have wouldn't work any other way.

I only asked because I see a ton of people that wanna go to true duals for their first mod. IMO it is kind of a waste unless you are going for a particular sound. Most modern vehicles don't gain much if anything by going to duals unless you go huge in power where it may be required. I just see a lot of F-body guys in my club spring for duals and they don't gain squat really and in some cases the car actually sounds worse because of mismatched parts.

I'm not saying what you are doing is wrong at all. I was just curious what the mtoive behind it is and why lot's of people wanna go duals but then don't really do any other mods to the truck besides maybe a Hypertech and air filter. Is it because of the sound or look?

Sorry if I sounded like an ***. I was simply curious
