I would like to control how loud my truck is

What do you suggest I can do? any bolt-on solutions?

I have nbs Sierra 5.3 with ARH & CAI

you could install some cutouts, by the flip of a switch you'd go from muffler to open headers. that sounds like what you want.

does the cutout switch the tone from 'loud' to 'quite'?
or does it switch it from 'loud' to 'louder'?

my understanding is that it skips the muffler which makes it go louder than what I have.. am I right?

I read about the ECV which is a butterfly valve that controls restriction the airflow in the exhaust system itself

The cutout can be opened or closed. Open bypasses the muffler, while closed sounds just like yours sounds right now, running through a muffler

so really the cutout makes the truck go from loud to louder
my truck is still loud with the muffler..!
It's good for off-road & freeways, but I get into trouble when I'm in the city

Is there anyway I could tune down when I'm in the neighborhood? and stay as I am the rest of the day?

thx anyways
