Angry extremely disappointed

I am so disappointed in my new exaust set up!!! i just replaced a dumped 50 series flowmaster w/ gutted cats and alot of leaks(previous owner) with my new set up consisting of pacesetter longtubes, magnaflow spun cats, magnaflow x pipe, and dual borla xr1's 16" cases dumped all i can say is it sounds like absolute crap!!!! was way happier w/ original setup. Do these get louder overtime? would the 14" case sound better? Please help with yalls opinions please what would make it sound better?

With most mufflers the longer the muffler the quieter/mellower the note. Give it some time, it'll break in and get louder.

^^^^^ i'm with this guy. my exhaust is twice as loud with a cammed 6.0 vs a stock 5.3. you'd be suprised how much just a cam swap would affect it. its all about airflow.

A better question is what is it you don't like?
Do you not like the sound it makes or do you not like how quiet it is?

X2! If it's the tone you dont like then maybe you should try a different muffler, if it's the volume give it a couple hundred miles see if you like it or if if grows on you. What size piping did you go with?

i just took a 2 hour trip to perryton and there getting a lil better sounding already(thank gosh!) a def. 6.0 swap is coming in the future( gotta finish up the body work first).
all in all ya its quieter which i wanted but mainly at idle, but what im really not liking is it almost has i V6ish sound to it but with a hint of V8? lol idk how to explain it. I was hoping for a more aggresive note under throttle.?

Im gonna check tomorrow but when going up hills i think im hearing an exhaust leak? they sent paper gaskets with my long tubes what gives? the set i used on myTransAm came with copper? gaskets i believe
