Default F-body 4l60 in a Truck?

Posted this in the tranny sec. but alot more viewers here.

I am wanting to put a 4l60 out of a f-body into my truck. I heard there are some other things that you have to swap out also while doing this. If any one know the difference or what other parts are need it would be a great help.THX

I was told by FLP that were not. You would have to change the input shaft and something else and that it essentially wasn't worth it. This was in response to having my FLP out of my T/A rebuilt and put in the truck.

Curious though, why would you want to?

Default FLP myself

I have access to a level 4 flp out of a f-body for a pretty decent price. Could'nt I just use the f-body TC instead of changing the inputshaft?

I know the tail housings are different, for where the torque arm mounts. I don't think they're different lengths though, so you should be allright there.

Default Any difference?

Is there any difference in the f-body and truck TC, as far as splines or input neck size? Or are they interchangable?

They must be, because the TCI streetfighter bolts to both.
