Default F-ing brakes!

I just did a brake job about a month ago and replaced the parking brakes, the front and rear pads, along with turning the rear rotors. The front rotors couldn't be turned at that time because we couldn't get the damn things off because they were seized on the hub by rust. Well right after going with some wagner pads from O-Rielly my brakes started making noise, louder and louder like they were bad, yet they are brand new. So today i went and spent another 220 to buy the pads from the dealer. Still not sure what I am going to do with the front rotors since they are stuck on there fairly well and I am short on cash.

Sorry for the rant just pissed that I have done two brake jobs on the same truck in about 1-2 months that is going to run my hundreds more than it should have.

Any help with getting the rotors off and saving them so they can be turned? Last time I replaced my hubs and had to beat them off with a sledge hammer. If I had the money I'd just get a damn cutting torch or something and cut the ******* off and put on the power slots.

nothing like working two jobs making good money and still being broke as hell.

Check around they have some break shops that turn them on the vehicle. Mine have 54,000 on them and still have plenty left.

What I've done in the past is basically just what you said, beat them off with a BFH and hope that the wheel bearings don't get damaged. When you finally do get them off, clean the area of the hub that goes through the rotor really good with some emery cloth or a die grinder with a disc on it, and coat the cleaned area with anit-sieze to prevent the rotors from rusting on again. Good luck!

I'm thinking we can pull the hubs off with the rotors attached and then use the press in the shop to get the rotors off without damaging the bearings in the hub. The hub only has 3 bolts so it shouldn't be too bad.

As far as my brake wear. I'm not the most forgiving driver and my truck had a good deal more done to it a few years ago. I think I did my first brake job at about 75,000 miles. Then maybe two months later I just can't live with the squeal anymore. I was just trying to save a few dollars and went with the best pads o-rielly offered instead of the factory pads and it looks like I got kicked in the butt for it. The pads have plenty of life left on them, but the noise coming from all 4 rotors is unbearable and a little embarrasing as well.

I'm not so sure that it's the pads. I have done the same thing pads and rotors at all four corners with under 15k on them they squeel like a stuck pig!! The rotors and pads are from carquest(their best set) and is of a higher quality then GM replacement crap. Then I tried the sh!tty GM pads and they sqeak even more and louder. I'm lost I don't know how to get it to stop. Now I just ride around with either the radio blasting!!!

Well that doesn't help the confidence much...

I'm hoping that all works out in my favor on this, but I'll be sure not to get my hopes up.

Man...I hope mine isn't going to be that bad. This is my first GM since I sold my 86 G-10 in 93. Of course, that only had front rotors but they would warp in a wavy pattern along with the pads...caused the steering wheel to oscillate back and forth when braking. It'd take a few years to get like that. I had them turned and lucked out on the third brk job...got pads (black material) from AZ and no more problems.
None of them ever made noise, though.

Put a little heat on the hat of the rotor, and it should come off.
