I used to work for Henna Chevrolet in Austin Tx and called a buddy of mine in the truck department and he said you can get a regular cab.

Who the heck knows. I had a salesman tell me the other day that my truck is not to supposed to exist. Go figure. I am a firm believer in the "gotta see it to believe it" school of thought. Someone go find one!

I was up at the local GMC dealer about 3 months ago when they first came out, and obviously I'd heard of them online and read about them....and this salesman comes up and talks to me about my truck, and afterwards he says "you want to see the truck nobody knows about?" I went back to the lot and they had 3 of them sitting there, immediately I knew it was the Texas edition (or whatever they call it)...I looked it over and everthing and asked him about how much they'd want for it, and obviously being a salesman slime ball he said something like "3k over sticker at least" or something.....I told him I'd rather have a lightning for 33 than a GMC for 37, and he agreed. They would be awesome to slap a turbo or Radix on though

i think i'm just going to have to bag the idea. Too much conflicting info. No one really seems to have a deffinitive answer. If i was in TX I'd take the time and investigate it all myself, but it's not like I can really do that from here, and I cant exactly just pop on down to texas and stay for a month looking for a truck. Guess I'll just pick up a 5.3 here and go the radix route, but it would have been so much more fun to do it on the 6.0...
