I have purchased a 00' GMC 3500 series crew cab dually but the truck has some strange markings I have never seen on a 3500 series. Instead of the 3500 HD tag on the front door it sports the 454 SS tag they are not stickers they are stainless steel and they are pluged into the doors and not put on w/ glue the tailgate has the GMC on the left and SS on the lower right. The hood hides a 7.4 liter monster but is there any reason this has the SS on it. I was never aware that GMC made a 454 SS in a dually. Anyone have any answers on this if so slap me a few lines on the why's,what's,and which ever's of this truck.

I have seen stickers on an older dually probably mide 90's that said 454 SS looked like they came from the factory. Not sure though.

 

The only 454 SS that was made was the RCSB . Im guessing that somebody added the molding or Emblems to the truck.

 

i thought they put those type badges on trucks from mexico. arent they the ones that put 400ss on trucks as well.

 

Where are you located? I am with 02Denali about your truck maybe being from Mexico.

 

I think its one of the trucks from mexico or somebody did a good job putting emblems on it
