Hey guys i'm looking to put a FAST intake manifold on my truck. Is it possible, has anyone done it, pics, any problems? Just wanted to get ur opinion. I'm trying to get to 400hp, i was hoping, exhaust, new intake, new intake manifold, new throttle body, programmer, cam, and rocker arms, would get me there, Am i crazy? There's a thread posted by Kano about the car intake swap. It's a pain to do, but necessary to get to 400rwhp. You'll probably need to consider some work to the heads as well. We're getting ready to release a CNC ported Edelbrock head for the 5.3l engines. It will offer 285cfm of intake flow and 210 cfm of exhaust flow with a 59cc chamber. That'll go a long way to helping make 400rwhp n/a.

those sound like some good heads, i dont want to jack the forum, but how much would you release them for? and do they come empty or with springs etc

 

We'll release them for $1990 per pair completely assembled with valves and springs.

Yea, def a good deal for heads. When you release them send me a PM, i've got 6k more miles 'til my warranty is up, i should be ready to purchase when you release them. Thanks guys, i appreciate all the tips.

 

i was going to put my ls6 intake on my 5.3! After i purchased it..i started asking around of how hard it was..(way too much pain and not enough gain)
