Fast lsxrt drivability problems
#91
Well I will be honest I dont know **** about fast intakes. But if you mill heads etc you have to modify the intake to fit. But it sounds like they are problematic and expensive to boot.

Sorry guys, I totalled the truck back in june but was able to get most of the engine mods off before it went off to salvage. Attached below are a few links: the first is the dyno at LMR before the tune and major intake leak. The second link is after I installed the catch cans and got everything figured out but I still needed to tune it. You can hear how choppy it was at idle which was caused from the throttle body trying to compensate. The third is a pic of the old setup. Notice that there is a 3/8" hose that I had connecting the vacuum port on the drivers side manifold to the stock PCV port on the drivers side rear valve cover (this was not correct). I later used this port to connect the brake booster. However, I will be reinstalling all of my bolt ons onto my cousins truck in two weeks when he gets home from offshore, I will take pictures then and post them up so that you guys can get a tangible picture. I loved my LSXRT intake at first, then I hated it b/c of the issues........but once everything was sorted out, it was well worth the pain.

Well, I just finished up LSXRT intake and tune and I would say mine Idles better with the intake than it did before. But I also did log the crap out of My VE table and then did RAFIG and RAFPN with efilive. Only problem I had was having to make brackets to fit the 60lbs injectors with their fuel rails that they claimed would work with the inake. I could of just bought the cheap universal kit and made my brackets had I known this was going to happen.
Other than that no problems.
