The best chance you have at getting 1 7/8" headers is bugging trick performance about them, I have talked to him a bit and got him interested in producing some but he has his doubts about the demand for them. So if you PM him maybe he will see there is enough interest for larger headers and make some.

Here is the biggest problem I am running into. The material costing just to start the project is making the pipes cost not end-user freindly. Stainless is not cheap, maybe need to be carbon then coated.
But I will admitt, I am confused from reading this thread.
Is there headers out there with 1 7/8 tubes or larger for these trucks.?

the kooks LTs are the ones that fit without issues atleast for the 2wd trucks.
i personally have experience in fitting up 1 7/8 stepped to 2" and had no clearance issues. they actually fit better then some truck headers i have seen

i had fbody hearers and did not have all them problems and i only paid 218.00 for mine the only thing i had to do was trim the motor mount a little and bend the header with a come-a-long and a torch. work great for a long time
