Are Fel Pro head gaskets any good? If not what should I use. Cheaper than Cometic. I'm putting some mildly ported/polished heads shaved .020 on my truck , and the only head gaskets I can find around town are the Fel Pro's.

Use stock GM ones. That's what I have on my 5.3 and what I have for the 6.0.

Fel-Pros have been around for a long time, they are great gaskets. I would defenitly use them. I've used fel pro on everything i've ever built.

I got my GM gaskets from Thunder, but you can also get them from the dealer. Allstar is around your way.

The FelPro's are perfectly fine to run. But, keep in mind the Fel 1041's are .041 compressed.

Thanks I picked up some Fel Pros today. They were the only ones I could find in a pair, but I never checked Thunder. Oh well They have always worked for me in the past, just trying to see what LS guys thought of them.
