On the catch can go from the pcv valve (on the back of the driver side valve cover) to the can, from the can to the port on the top of the intake manifold. When making the can just make sure you have sometype of divider inside of the can to separate the intake and exhaust(plus post pics).
On the stall I'll have to pass(no experience). I would do the vette servo and bigger trans cooler if you tow.

Kind of hard to explain(aka= I have know idea so know I'll BS an explanation, jk). I think it increases the clamping force on the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift. Design to prevent slippage. For a simple $15 item and around an hour of install time it's worth it. It fells like it firms the initial shifts up and makes them almost seem quicker. If you do a search I guaranty you will find nothing put positive responses to installing it. Someone else will chime in.

Default Stall

IMO i have heard people usin a stock trailblazer stall convertor, or a small 2500 nothin bigger than that. There was a 2500 for sale the other day on here for like $125 in the Texas section or classifieds, sounded great to me. I have pulled with a stall once but mine is big and didnt feel too good imo. Good luck.

right now the trans is stock. the truck has the newer z06 cam with shorty headers and true duals. i was thinking about a 2400 to 2800 stall so 2500 would work good what is the stall on a trail blazer converter? and do you guys think a trans cooler is a must or will the stock one work?
