Default FINAL BUILDUP PLANS!!!!!

the final plans have come together for my 6.0 build up plans. some parts are already coming in, so here's the list.

MOTOR: 6.0L block bored to 4.030" with diamond forged dished pistons, manley 6.100" forged connecting rods, stock LS1/6.0/5.3 crank. SDPC rollermaster double roller timing chain.
ARP ROD/MAIN BOLTS

OILING: stock ported oil pump.

HEADS: Stock 5.3L heads with a mild port and polish on both intake/exhaust ports. SLP .610" lift springs with chrome-molly retainers. stock 1.55"??? exhaust valves and 2.00" intake valves. Heads have stock chamber sizes to maintain a somewhat streetable compression ratio. ARP HEAD STUDS

CAM: MTI Hammer Cam 222/222 .566"/.566" 114 LSA

INTAKE: Stock truck intake manifold with custom 4" PVC intake tube.

FUEL: Stock fuel rails with 30#(36#) SVO injectors. Walbro 340 inline fuel pump/adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

NITROUS: Probably just a regular ole' NX wet kit to handle 100-200-300 shots or nitrous, not that i'll use 300 but it's always nice to be able to. 2 stages will be used, 100 from the hole, 100ish later on.

TRANNY: Stock tranny with a mild rebuild and some mild performance parts. I'll run this until it breaks. 3600 TCS stall converter.

REAREND: 4.10 richmond gears with detroit locker or eaton posi, can't decide if i want to go ahead and replace what i have with the posi or not. TA GIRDLE etc. I have a 12 bolt from an old truck of my dad's i'm gonna try to get some work done to make it work in the truck, to have a bulletproof rearend.

SUSPENSION: 3 LINK(ladder bar) rear suspension with coil over shocks and panhard bar. Hopefully this will help put the new power to the ground, and the truck will be lowered 2" all around with the new work. Work will be started around May when i get the truck paid off and get something cheap to drive.

INTERIOR: for track time the passenger seat and console will be gone, but i think i will keep stock seats for a while until i find something i like. additions of a nitrous pressure and electronic fuel pressure gauge are basically it inside. i was thinking of building another center console of fiberglass and finally putting a floor shifter in.

i think that's about it for now. some of these parts such as the block, injectors, fuel pump, oil pump is done, heads are done. if i think of any other parts i have in i'll post'em up. gimme some feedback guys. this is how it's gonna be when it's done.

i think around 10.5, i haven't really done any figuring yet. i can pretty much get whatever dish i want on the pistons so i can adjust a little right there.

yeah, it should run a 14.4 1/8th i'm hoping. if i get anywhere close to that i'll be happy. i'm trying to build a 400+ rwhp truck to run very very high quarter mile times. that was the plan all along. thanks for the kind words Marc.

Is a 12 bolt really that much of an upgrade from our axles? Or are you putting that in because you already have one around?

If you really want beef, may I recomend a Dana 60 with 35 spline shafts and a detriot? It would be bling blinging ($$$$), and a little on the heavy side, and probably overkill, but you basically couldn't grenade it!

matt i think you could pull off a 14 in the 1/8 mile just put some street tires on it when it's done you would put on one hell of a show lol

well, who knows. maybe with a 300 shot i will knock off a 12...maybe. honestly i'm hoping for 12 on motor alone, low 12s. i don't really know what kind of power it takes to run this time or that time so i have no idea really of what my setup will do. who knows...it should be fun finding out though.

i was basically going to try the 12 bolt idea because i had one in the shop with no brackets for mounting anything on it, so it could have some custom ones made and fabricate it to fit the truck. i do not have money up the yen yang, but am budgeting every penny i can to this build up. and the most expensive part will be the suspension and tranny. the engine is comming together nicely. the hammer cam should be here before saturday. next i start putting together the money for the rods and pistons, i have to have the pistons before i can bore/hone the block so it'll be a little while before all that happens. probably a month or so. As far as the rearend i think i will go with a detroit locker, or something comperable to it will suffice as well. i want this engine/tranny/ rearend to be somewhat reliable that is why i'm using all the best parts that my resources can handle. LS1EDIT will be a great asset when i get it running so i wont have to spend 300 bucks every time i want to do some tunning.
