Default Finally doing the swap

I will be starting my cam swap on friday with the help of Lifted03Silverado.

I have my cam,springs, and pushrods and some extra locks should be here tomorrow I believe. Can I re-use my stock crank bolt? I've seen that it's highly recommended that you get a longer one, but also heard of people using their stock ones. Can I use my stock one?

BTW I may do a small write up with it. I will definitely be taking pictures and will make sure to get video of the startup w/the cutout open

Having the longer bolt makes it ALOT easier to pull the pulley back in. Then you use a stock size bolt.

Well I failed smog yesterday because I recently reset my computer, which is ridiculously stupid. I passed the sniffer with flying colors though, so no cam swap for me until I pass smog

All you have to do is go out and put some miles on your truck after your PCM is reset, and then it will pass the smog.

It does that so people won't reset the PCM to clear any codes so they'll pass it

Teardown starts tonight I will be installing with thr 4* advance in the cam and see how it performs, mainly because I dont have money for the adjustable timing set right now but if it performs weird I can always change it later.
